Axial Viewer is developed by Root & Arc Labs (“we,” “us,” “our”). It is the immersive viewer for Apple Vision Pro in the Axial family, alongside the Interaxial camera app. This policy explains how Axial Viewer handles information on Apple Vision Pro.
The short version: Axial Viewer does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and no servers of ours that your information is sent to. Axial Viewer talks directly to camera equipment and video senders on your own network, and the content you view stays on your device.
What Axial Viewer does not collect
We do not operate a backend, a user database, or an advertising network. Axial Viewer contains no third-party analytics, tracking, attribution, or advertising SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, track you across apps or websites, or receive your usage data.
Information the app uses on your device
Axial Viewer requests access to a few device capabilities, each only to make a feature work. Access is requested at the moment the feature is used, and you can change these permissions at any time in Settings on your Apple Vision Pro.
| Capability | Why Axial Viewer uses it | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Local Network | To connect to a camera or an SRT/NDI video sender on your Wi‑Fi/LAN for live immersive monitoring, and to fetch the camera’s lens calibration (used to present the image correctly). | Direct device-to-source communication on your own network. Nothing is sent to us. |
| Files you choose | To open spatial photos you select, and to receive content handed to the viewer from the Interaxial app on the same device through a shared, on-device container. | Read from the files and the on-device handoff container. Axial Viewer does not browse, scan, or upload your files. |
Axial Viewer does not use the headset’s cameras or microphone, and does not request your photo library, contacts, or location.
Content you view
Spatial photos you open, any LUT or mask files you load, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Content handed off from the Interaxial app arrives through a shared container on your device — it is not routed through us. Live camera feeds are streamed directly from your camera or sender to your headset over your own network and are not recorded by Axial Viewer.
Diagnostics
Axial Viewer does not include crash-reporting or diagnostics SDKs. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated crash logs through App Store Connect. This data is handled by Apple, is not linked to your identity, and is used only to improve app stability. You can turn this off in your device’s privacy settings.
Children
Axial Viewer is a professional media tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Data retention and deletion
Because we do not collect your data, we have nothing to retain or delete on our end. Content Axial Viewer stores on your device is removed when you delete the item in the app or uninstall the app.
Your rights
Since Axial Viewer collects no personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export, or erase. If you have any question about your privacy, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Axial Viewer handles information, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
